Transport

Buses, bicycles, alternative transport

Nelson has wonderful beaches, parks, libraries, art events, first class shopping and the Saturday market. For some people getting to these places has been difficult. Public transport could be your solution to transport hassles.

Motorcycle and scooter training courses

Three scooter and motorcycle training courses for beginner and intermediate riders will be held on Saturday 20 September and Saturday 22 November, with an advanced course on Sunday 23 November.

The ENZA site on Nayland Road will be the course location and trainers from Wellington’s Roadsafe Motorcycle Riding Techniques will be teaching the courses. Each course costs $50 (or $25 with valid student ID or community services card) and riders must be licensed for the type of bike they are riding and bring their own bikes. The courses are suitable for riders of all ages and experiences.

If you are keen on attending one of these courses or for more information phone Krista Hobday at Tasman District Council on +64 3 543 8551 or by email.
