Roads
Tahunanui intersection - play your part
Merge like a zip
Transit NZ has upgraded the old twin roundabouts at Tahunanui to improve efficiency on SH6. Now, it's time for road users to play their part by following the new clearway rules, learning to use both lanes and merging like a zip.
Clearways
Clearways are now in place on either side of the highway. These clearways improve traffic flow during peak times by providing more space for motorists to merge. Parking is not permitted during the posted hours and it is an offence to park during these times.
Merge
Help everyone to efficiently and safely share the road - use both lanes and then merge in turns, being aware of other road users like cyclists.
