Engineering Standards 2003

The Engineering Standards form the basis for design and construction of all Nelson's roads, drains and watermains as well as all other services within the road reserve. The Standards cover all upgrade and renewal work carried out by the Council as well as all subdivision and development of infrastructure carried out by the private sector which is to be vested in the Council.

The Nelson City Council has reviewed and updated the 1993 Engineering Standards. The updated document is called the Nelson City Council Engineering Standards 2003.

The change over from the 1993 to the 2003 document takes effect from Wednesday 14 May 2003.
