Winter Bookchat
“Bookchat” sessions at the Elma Turner Library are being held at 2pm on the second Sundays of winter months:
Bookchat is an informal gathering to talk about books you’ve just read. Everyone is invited to attend but there is no commitment to attend every session.
The usual Bookchat sessions continue to run on the second Tuesday of every month, from 10.30am for about an hour.
For more details, pick up a Bookchat brochure from one of the Nelson Public Libraries, ask at the Recreation Service information desk at the Elma Turner Library, or phone +64 3 546 8100.
Stepping out at the library
From 3 May you will be able to borrow a pedometer from any of the Nelson public libraries, just as you would a book! These neat, easy to use gadgets measure the number of steps you take each day. This is a "Way2Go" initiative to encourage people to become more active. Ask about it at your library today.
