In addition to employing full-time and part-time staff, the Council works with independent contractors on many jobs, for example road works or property maintenance.
Where to obtain further materials on advertised tenders
Specifications for all tenders may be obtained from the Customer Services officers of the Technical Services Section, First Floor, Civic House, 110 Trafalgar Street, Nelson.
Where to submit tenders
All tenders shall be deposited in the Tenders Box located on the ground floor of Civic House.
The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

Russell Street Pump Station Upgrade
Tenders are invited for the conversion of an existing drywell sewer pump station structure into a wetwell structure including new valves, pipework and the conversion of two pumps for submersible application.

Carriageway Preparation and Sealing 2008/09
Tenders are invited for the resurfacing in asphalt of various city streets and hard stand areas together with surfacing repairs.
