Arapiki Stream upgrade on Quarantine Road
July 2008
Progress on the culvert construction in Quarantine Road is on schedule.
The job is still expected to finish on time by the end of November 2008. Council appreciates the understanding from road users and local businesses while the work continues.
Airport access - Brief road closures
Please be aware that Quarantine Road will be subject to full road closure at the work site with no through traffic for approximately an hour twice a week until the completion of the culvert in November 2008. However, typically traffic will be restricted to one lane only and access to the Nelson Airport will be via Bolt Road and access from the airport will continue to be available via Quarantine Road.
Access into businesses along Quarantine Road will still be maintained on each side of the work site.
